About Juan

Juan joined the Long Capture Team in January 2024. His education includes a Master’s degree in International Relations from Troy State University and he is a Doctorate Candidate in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.  He is a graduate of the Engineer Officer Basic Course, Engineer Officer Advanced Course, CAS3, Command and General Staff College.

Prior to joining Long Capture, He retired from the US Army in 2010 with over 30 years of federal service.  Upon retirement he joined the private industry as a business developer.  He leveraged market knowledge and experience to help customers maximize the return on investments.

He has performed as program and project manager of the installation and configuration of secure lines of communication systems for Headquarters, US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), including audiovisual equipment for command and control centers, including information security assessments, secured cabling installation, equipment installation, configuration, and testing through the 13 sites in the US and 4 overseas locations, and closed two opportunities, a $3M value, and bid on a total of $58.5M in service opportunities. He managed and supervised a five-person business development and proposal management team that submitted a total of $180.3M of IT services and support opportunities proposals, closing three opportunities valued approximately at $7.2M.

At Long Capture, Juan applies his extensive experience as a senior capture strategist, helping to guide a team of capture strategists and working hands-on with clients to get to know their unique company, technology, and goals. He works to develop unique strategies for each company to help them pursue the best avenues for federal funding.
