About Amber

Amber joined the Long Capture Team in October 2023. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the United States Air Force Academy and an MBA with a focus in entrepreneurship from American Military University.

Prior to joining Long Capture, she served active duty from 2012 to 2020 with Operational, systems, and specialized contracting experience. She has her APDP Level III in Contracting. Amber switched from active duty procurement contracting officer (PCO) to reservist PCO IN 2020, working on multi-billion-dollar combat weapon system programs for the DAF Rapid Capabilities Office. She just transitioned to be a contracting officer reservist at the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Western HQ in Seattle/Denver, and continues to serve as a reservist in the Air Force.

As a civilian, prior to Long Capture, she worked as an Operations Manager at a Fortune 500 company where she managed and led multiple teams (68 people) to handle 13+ different accounts (clients) in Facilities Maintenance work. She then moved on to become a Program Manager/PM Support for multi-billion dollar program for about 1 year where she gained an immense amount of PM experience.

At Long Capture, Amber applies her experience as a capture strategist, working hands-on with clients to get to know their unique company, technology, and goals. She works to develop unique strategies for each company to help them pursue the best avenues for federal funding.
