Our Team
Russ is a veteran Contracting Officer, entrepreneur, innovator, and the founder and CEO of Long Capture. Russ has helped over 200 small businesses win more than $100M in SBIR awards and has over $2 billion in acquisition and leadership experience. Before founding Long Capture, Russ was an active duty Contracting Officer in the Air Force, serving for five and a half years. Russ holds a Masters of Science in Entrepreneurship from Oklahoma State University and a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and Management from the United States Air Force Academy.
Julia brings over 5 years of experience in organizational development across both the public and private sector to the Long Capture team. She works to improve our efficiency by developing improved workflows and systems, empowers our team to do great work by putting the right tools in their hands through vendor research and management, and keeps our records organized and our administrative priorities on track.
Julia holds a Masters of Public Administration with concentrations in Non-Profit Management and Economic and Community Development from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Meredith College.
Ashley Harper has been with Long Capture since January 2020 and resides in San Diego, CA. Ashley brings experience in writing/editing, research, organization, communication, design skills, and time management to the Long Capture team. Before joining Long Capture, she earned her Master’s of Professional Studies in Paralegal Studies from George Washington University and a Bachelor’s in Justice from American University. Prior to LCCM, Ashley was a stay at home mother for 10 years. She has interned with the Public Defender Service in DC and remotely with Helping Educate to Advance the Rights of the Deaf (HEARD) headquartered in DC.
Taylor is a marketing professional with over five years of working in the non-profit sector and a background in art and graphic design. She brings with her experience in multi-touch marketing campaigns, event planning, fundraising, branding, and digital advertising. Taylor recently launched the entire marketing plan for the first-of-its-kind accelerator. She is also the primary contact for Long Capture's six major government partners, helping them shape and promote their unique cultures.
Sara graduated from Colorado State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies. Upon graduation, she decided to go a different route from her majors and follow her passion of working in administration and human resources. She has spent the majority of her career working with small businesses. Sara is a proud US Air Force spouse.
